ISABELA’S ICONIC WILDLIFE ISLET

Lava channels, reef sharks & island wildlife

Tintoreras Islet is a small volcanic island just off Puerto Villamil, renowned for rich marine and terrestrial biodiversity. In a narrow lava crevice, visitors can observe white-tip reef sharks resting in shallow water.

Marine iguanas, lava lizards, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, pelicans, herons and occasionally Galápagos penguins complete one of Isabela’s most rewarding half-day experiences.
