This beginner-friendly experience includes one introductory dive accompanied by a certified instructor and one snorkeling session at a designated site. No previous diving certification is required.
Galapagos Trails coordinates your reservation with reputable certified diving centers, helping confirm the right operator, date, equipment and requirements for a smooth first diving experience.

Discovery itinerary
Your experience at a glance
Equipment fitting the day before
Visit the confirmed diving center the day before the tour, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, to try on your equipment, check the fit and receive the final meeting instructions.
Morning check-in and safety briefing
Return to the confirmed diving center at 7:30 AM, meet your certified dive team and complete the safety briefing before departure.
Introduction and basic skills
Your instructor explains how to use the equipment, breathe underwater, communicate and complete the basic skills required before the dive.
Instructor-guided introductory dive
Enjoy one carefully supervised dive with your certified instructor and discover the remarkable marine life of the Galápagos.
Snorkeling session
Continue exploring the selected site from the surface during a guided snorkeling session.
Return after the experience
Conclude the excursion at approximately 2:30 PM. The selected site is confirmed according to the operator and sea conditions.
