Santa Cruz
To take the Isabela Full Day Tour, travelers can arrive the same day by taking the 7:00 a.m. ferry from Santa Cruz Island to Isabela Island, allowing enough time to join the tour upon arrival.
The Pinzón Island full-day tour is widely recognized as one of the premier snorkeling experiences in the entire Galápagos archipelago. Located off the western coast of Santa Cruz Island, this isolated destination provides an intimate encounter with a vibrant underwater paradise, free from massive tourist crowds. This excursion is tailor-made for ocean lovers, marine life enthusiasts, and anyone looking to swim side-by-side with the unique fauna that inspired Darwin’s evolutionary theories.
Throughout this journey, visitors will navigate clear waters to explore hidden coves, dramatic drop-offs, and shallow reefs bustling with marine activity. Pinzón is famous for its exceptionally clear visibility, making it effortless to spot white-tip reef sharks, playful Galápagos sea lions, sea turtles, and massive schools of colorful tropical fish. Coupled with a relaxing beach stop or a coastal exploration at scenic spots like La Fe or Palmitas, this tour encapsulates the pristine, wild spirit of the islands in a single, action-packed day

The adventure starts in the morning with a meeting at Puerto Ayora’s main pier. After boarding the comfortable tour vessel, we set sail toward Pinzón Island. The navigation takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours, offering breathtaking views of the Santa Cruz coastline and excellent opportunities to spot pelagic birds like frigatebirds, Nazca boobies, and occasionally jumping manta rays or dolphins alongside the boat.
Our main destination is Penguin Bay, a world-class snorkeling site protected by the island’s unique topography. Here, you will jump into crystal-clear turquoise waters. This spot acts as a natural nursery, meaning you can closely swim with curious juvenile sea lions, dozens of friendly Pacific green sea turtles, marine iguanas feeding underwater, and harmless white-tip reef sharks resting on the sandy ocean floor.
After an exhilarating time in the water, wrap up in your towel and climb back onboard to enjoy a freshly prepared hot lunch, complete with drinks and seasonal snacks. As you recharge, the captain will cruise around the island’s cliffs, allowing you to observe the rare Galápagos penguins perched on the rocky edges, as well as blue-footed boobies diving for food.
